The 2009 mapping effort began in late July 2009 and ran almost continuously through mid-October 2009. During this time, the project benefited from excellent weather, and 95% of the state priority mapping areas to the north of Yachats were successfully mapped by the combined team of scientists from Oregon State University and the firm David Evans and Associates.

The data collected during the 2009 season is currently being processed at David Evans and Associates and at OSU to meet the high standards for data integrity and quality control demanded by NOAA nautical charting applications.

There is an existing Listserv for participants in the Territorial Sea mapping group that interested parties can use to follow progress of the on-going work to map Oregon's Territorial Sea.

You may subscribe yourself to this list here.

The listserv is an electronic list service hosted at Oregon State University. The Territorial_sea list is a discussion list for the Oregon Territorial Sea Mapping and GIS group. As a discussion list, be forewarned that it is not always low traffic.
