Oregon’s rocky shore habitats are some of the most recognizable and dynamic ecosystems along the coast, and managing these special areas can be challenging. Oregon’s Territorial Sea Plan is the state’s framework for managing coastal resources and the section on rocky shore management is currently being updated. Join Rocky Shore Coordinator, Deanna Caracciolo, for a discussion on the management strategy and how to get involved in the update. Visit www.OregonOcean.info/RockyShores for more information on this work.

Celebrate fall on the Oregon Coast with free educational presentations and events at Cape Perpetua. Visitors can enjoy a variety of speakers and topics every Saturday from January 19 – March 23, 2019 at the Cape Perpetua Speaker Series.

The event is free, but a Northwest Forest Pass, Oregon Coast Passport, federal recreation pass, or $5 day-use fee is required within the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and at some trailheads and day use sites. For more in-formation on these events, contact the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center at 541-547-3289.
