A Resource for Planning in the Oregon Territorial Sea

South Coast Rocky Habitat Workshop

Description

South Coast Rocky Habitat Workshop

2024-2025 Rocky Habitat Management Workshop Series: Part 2

The Oregon Coastal Management Program is hosting a public workshop series to develop site management plans for protected rocky habitats that were designated in 2023.

Join this workshop to learn about plans for three protected rocky habitats on the south coast: Coquille Point Marine Garden, Blacklock Point Marine Conservation Area, and Cape Blanco Marine Research Area. The plans will support communities in Bandon, Sixes, and Port Orford to study and protect vital rocky habitats. We will discuss strategies for building capacity in communities, Tribes, and government agencies who are working to implement rocky habitat management strategies.

Agenda and background materials will soon be available here. Summaries and recordings from 2024-2025 Rocky Habitat Management Workshop Series: Part 1 are available online.
